The side plates keep the daggerboard running correctly. They support two configurations: fixed and removable, both allowing full extension and retraction of the daggerboard during use.
Important: never leave the daggerboard partially extended when the board is not in use. This puts unnecessary stress on the gasket lips and shortens their lifespan.
