Foil slalom, where speed demands control
The moment the foil lifts, resistance disappears. Acceleration builds fast. Margins shrink just as quickly. In foil slalom racing, raw speed is easy to find—holding it, under pressure and in close quarters, is not.
The RF V4 is designed for that reality.
Shaped to comply with current PWA foil slalom regulations and developed specifically for high-speed, close-quarter racing, the RF V4 is a dedicated competition board. It exists for riders who understand that in foil slalom, control isn’t a comfort feature—it’s the only way speed becomes usable.
Closing the Speed–Control Gap
At foil slalom speeds, the limiting factor is no longer power, but stability and precision. The RF V4 is designed to minimise resistance between rider input and foil response, allowing speed to be reached—and sustained—without constant correction.
An aerodynamically refined deck profile reduces drag and turbulence at high speeds, helping the board remain settled once airborne. Thin front rails and a domed deck further smooth airflow, supporting controlled, efficient flight rather than short, unstable bursts of acceleration.
Dedicated Race Shapes
The RF V4 is offered in two dedicated foil slalom volumes: 75 and 85 litres. Both shapes follow the same race-focused philosophy, with reduced volume and carefully positioned rail geometry to support rapid foil engagement and immediate response at take-off.
Twin parallel cut-outs at the tail help maintain momentum during acceleration and reduce drag during touch-downs, supporting clean re-flight in demanding race situations. Every design choice serves efficiency when margins are small.
Connection Through the Stance
At this level, control comes from leverage and feedback. A wide tail combined with adjustable footstrap positions allows riders to fine-tune foil pitch and trim precisely, whether pushing upwind or running deep at speed.
Carbon construction keeps overall weight low while preserving the stiffness required to transmit subtle inputs directly to the foil. The result is a board that responds instantly and predictably, rewarding committed, accurate riding.
One Board, Full Race Range
PWA foil slalom regulations allow racers to use a single foil board size across all conditions. The RF V4 is shaped with this constraint in mind.
Both the 75 and 85 are designed to operate across the full spectrum of foil slalom racing—from marginal winds to fully powered conditions—without compromising their race-focused character. This makes the RF V4 a true one-board solution within regulation-driven race formats.
A Board for Those Who Race
The RF V4 is not designed to make foil slalom easier.
It’s designed to make high-level foil slalom possible.
For professional riders, dedicated competitors on national and local circuits, and performance-oriented sailors training with race formats in mind, the RF V4 offers a platform shaped for precision, speed, and control where margins are smallest.
