Performance sail at its most essential The Maverick delivers real performance with only the essential features at its core. A capable sail for bump and jump sessions and flat water blasting — without the extra cost. Progressive range tuned to conditions Batten count scales with sail size — four battens in smaller sizes for nimble, responsive handling, five in the middle of the range for a more balanced feel, and six plus a cross batten cut-out in the largest sizes to keep the profile stable and powerful as area increases. Tapered battens throughout maintain a clean shape that stays consistent as the wind builds. A broad trimming range The Maverick responds clearly to downhaul and outhaul adjustments, giving riders room to tune for different wind strengths and riding styles. Simplified construction The Maverick is intentionally stripped back to keep weight and cost low. Large monofilm panels offer responsive, lively handling, and monofilm windows provide clear visibility of surroundings throughout. No mast foot padding, no tack pulleys — straightforward by design. Hardware options The Maverick is fully compatible with the Unifiber x XO Sails hardware system — ready to rig straight out of the bag. For riders who want to push further — earlier planing, better top-end feel — upgrading to Unifiber Essentials masts and booms delivers a noticeable step up in response and control. The Maverick is an honest, affordable version of a performance sail that delivers the same lively feel as the Vega V2 for riders who prefer simplicity and are ready to rig with care.
