Description
The learning rig that bridges the gap.
Many newcomers hit the same wall: they've outgrown an entry-level sail, but a fully-battened rig feels like a step too far. The feedback is different, the tuning is different, and the jump in skill required can be discouraging at exactly the wrong moment.
The Experience TR is designed to smooth that transition. A fully-battened Dacron learning rig that supports steady progression — from first sessions through to confident planing.
Stable drive from the first session
The deep, well-defined profile in the lower section delivers stable drive and clear feedback in light wind. The centre of effort stays consistent across conditions, giving the rig a forgiving, predictable character — easy to handle even when technique is still developing. A full batten set shapes and maintains the sail profile throughout the wind range, with particular support at the upper end where a partially-battened sail would otherwise lose shape.
Tunable as conditions build
As the wind picks up, the Experience TR adjusts with it. Downhaul and outhaul changes regulate leech tension and extend the usable wind range — broadening what the rig can handle as both conditions and rider ability develop. The full batten set holds the sail profile under increased load, so trim changes produce clean, predictable results rather than a sail that distorts as tension increases.
Rigging habits that carry forward
The Experience TR rigs and trims like a modern no-cam sail. Learners become familiar early with the same setup techniques they'll use as they advance — so the habits built here don't need to be unlearned later.
Designed for schools and centres
A rotating boom head ensures a secure connection between mast and boom at any height, and harness line markers on the boom make setup repeatable — so the rig goes up the same way every time, regardless of who's rigging it.
Each size is color-coded, making it easy for instructors to organize groups and match riders to the right sail quickly on the water.
Built to last
Dacron construction and a robust PVC window form a durable base, with reinforcement at all key wear points — contact zones with the board, the foot, and high-stress areas throughout the sail. Smaller sizes (1.0–2.5 m²) come with an aluminium mast, with an epoxy option available for added durability and smoother handling.
The Experience TR is for anyone who wants a learning rig that stays useful beyond the first session. Stable when the wind is light, tunable when it builds, and built to handle regular use throughout.
