What is a WindSUP?

A WindSUP combines the versatility of a stand-up paddleboard with the thrill of windsurfing. With a mast track and daggerboard or fin box, these boards let you paddle on flat days and windsurf when the wind picks up.

Exocet offers two construction types, each designed for different needs:

  • Inflatable -- portable, durable, easy to store and transport
  • Composite (rigid) -- superior performance, better glide, foil-ready

Which One is Right for You?

Scenario 1

I travel a lot and need a portable board

You live in an apartment, travel by car or plane, and want a board that packs away easily. Storage space is limited.

Inflatable -- Energy or Sonic
Scenario 2

I want the best windsurf performance

You already windsurf and want a board that planes well, goes upwind, and handles real wind conditions (15-25 knots).

Composite -- WindSUP V4
Scenario 3

I want to try foiling

You are curious about foiling and want a board that supports a foil mount. Only composite boards have a reinforced foil box.

Composite -- WindSUP V4
Scenario 4

I mostly SUP with occasional windsurf

80% of your time is flat-water paddling. You want the option to clip on a sail when wind picks up, but SUP is the priority.

Either works -- depends on budget and storage
