VEGA

FREERACE no cam - FOIL

4.8 • 5.4 • 6.0 • 6.6 • 7.2

// DESCRIPTION

The Vega is the no-cam Freerace sail of the range. It is a particularly well designed sail with a marked and perfectly blocked hollow: it provides power and continuous acceleration just like a cam sail but with the added lightness, maneuverability and accessibility.

Fully rigged for strength, the Vega will stand up to the ravages of time and abuse. The use of Q-ply (anilox material) at the head of the sail provides flexibility and allows a weight saving of 15 to 20% without reducing the strength.

Offering high performance, the Vega will suit riders who are looking for a sail that performs in all conditions without sacrificing ease of use.

// TEAM ADVICE
Vega sails are easy to rig and are ideal for use with 80% carbon masts.

A 100% mast will give stiffness and handling for heavier sail sizes, while a 60% mast will give comfort and flexibility for lighter sail sizes. We recommend rigging the Vega in a manner similar to a slalom sail, i.e. with a relatively large twist at the head of the sail (which requires good tack tension). Compatible with both SDM and RDM masts, the use of an SDM mast will give the sail a hollow shape that will be blocked on the mast panel.

An RDM mast will bring more flexibility and ease, especially in maneuvers.
