It is a pleasure to welcome Daniel Bruch – currently 7th, at the PWA wave ranking - to our already very sucessful international team.

"I am really happy about joining the Exocet Team. When I met Patrice, I had a really good feeling about his commitment to the sport. He seemed very straight and with clear ideas of what his goals were…I liked that, as my goals are very clear too. Being involved in the R&D for future designs, I will also have the opportunity to improve my sailing more and more!

When I received the boards, my first impression was that there has been a lot of work invested in it…an impressive design together with an outstanding outline made me realize that this boards could work really good…when I started to put on the straps I looked at it more carefully, checking out all small details and I couldn’t find any dislikes…I realized that everything had been developed very carefully under a very strict supervision…because normally there are always some things that you don’t like on a production board…I was desperate to go on the water to try it!

The “D day” took it’s time, but finally I had the chance to try one of the boards. I went out with a 4.7 and the U-Surf 76. What a board! I couldn’t believe it…it was the first time ever that I could feel the whole board under my feet’s…Normally, when you are on a wave, you always have the feeling that you are just standing on the back of the tail - and that is what you normally turn, - you hardly use any of the board from the mastrack forward, - but this one is a totally different concept. You obviously have to get used to it a bit, as with all boards, but it doesn’t take you long to notice that it behaves like a real surf board. I had been using twin fins for the last months and were worried about the turning of a single fin, but would you believe me when I tell you that I could do closer and more vertical turns then with the twin fin??…Because the board is wider than others, the volume of the board is distributed a different way; it’s much thinner, but floats incredibly well. Because of the wideness it goes through critical sections in the white water like nothing – where other boards gets their rails stuck and flipped over. Also a huge benefit is the prolonged “V” until the nose of the board; stuff like Backside 360? are no struggle. I managed to slide backwards for a few meters in total control on the open face of a wave before I kicked into the 360? rotation…amazing!!!...other boards can’t slide backwards, as they are flat and just flip away straight into the rotation, - often without any control and with a lot of pain for you’re ankles!

The rest is more than perfect for the daily use, the pads are super comfortable, they have like a special cushion that make’s your feet enjoy being on them. And the straps; open them completely before screwing them on - and when you adjust them - stretch the neoprene a bit, and you will realize that they are the perfect combination to the pads for a super comfy sail!

I am really impressed about the board and I can say for sure that this concept is something totally new and different and that it can bring this sport into other directions…I want to see how this boards will work in spots like Punta Preta, Hookipa…Imagine you can surf those break’s like being on a surfboard!!! Amazing! The future is near!""
