For me with a 9.0, i found a Select S07 51cm best for the pro version and 53cm for the std version. Hope this helps.

Why this difference of 2cm between the pro and std version? Maybe for the new tail recess?
I got the pro version with Gaastra Vapor 10, I'm 100kg, wich fin do you think is better for me? i've also a Deboichet R13 60cm

Good wind

I tested various Select fins from 57 to 49, the pro version really needed a smaller fin than the std version. 57 on the pro version was slow, hence i think 60cm is too big. My weight is 93Kg and i could use the 51 with a 9.9, but better for the 9.9 was the 53

Hope this helps

hello i am Gigi (90kg x 185cm) and i use the 85 Pro model in competition this year on the Garda Lake.
I use this fins:
NP RS Slalom 9,2 and light wind : Select elite 51
RS Slalom 9,2 and good wind : select elite 48
RS Slalom 8,4 or 7,8 with good wind select elite 46 (and with this measure i have the best acceleration for the down wind condition).

Could you tell me the right strap position?
I'm 1,83 cm

I think strap position is a personal choice depending on how you sail.
For your height i would suggest starting with middle position for the back and all the way forward for the front.
If you find this too wide, try the front straps in the middle as well.

I am 1.81 and preferred the first setup, a little wide for some people, but it helped control the nose when really maxed out.

On the other hand, if you never use the board maxed out but want early planing in lower winds, use both front and back straps in the forward position, track quite back.
Hope this helps

I need early planing, now I use the front in the middle and the back in the forward position becasuse I don't like the straps too much wide.
Eventually iI will adopt your helps.
Thank you

P.S. no more Warp S in 2010? I've just bought it!!!!!

Hi

Can anyone say how it feels to surf 85 cm board compared to one that is about 70 cm?

Can you go with a "small" sail like 7,2 Zen in winds of 12-14 knots ? Will that baord have planing i n such winds with 77 kg?

How big difference is it from 78 cm width to 85 cm?

Living in a lightwind area, all my boards for the past years have been in the range of 69-85cm wide.

Apart from a big volume difference, the bigger board is just that and harder to handle as the wind and chop picks up. Gybing is no problem, but takes more rail pressure to turn. At 77Kg and a 7.2 sail in 12-14K on an 85 wide board, you should be planing, but an 85 wide board is more comfortable with bigger sails, suiting around 8.5 and above.
Boards of the 78/80cm range offer the best compromise of early planing, speed, gybing and control, they work best from around 7.0 to 9.0m
70cm boards work from around 8.5 and below, but compromise on low wind performance but gain at the top end.
In my opinion at your weight and the sails that you mention in this and your previous post, the 78 is the best overall choice, with the 85 only being better if you want to sail in really marginal winds with big rigs.
At the end of the day, generally a 78 will have a higher fun factor with a 7.2 in 12-14K

Hi, I think, that the Volume of my Warp (normal Version) is more than 145L. 155-160 Liter, I guess.
Any information ?

I would say yes. It's very easy to sail in most conditions and will not become obsolete as you improve

Hello,
on the warp s 85 i have the original Fin and a 50cm Hurricane fin for a 9,0m" and a 7,7mē Raceesail. I test a 46 cm Hurricane, but it's not so good. In very bad conditions i go with a Hurricane 58cm. All my fins are medium. My wight is 110kg.
